Gallery hours are 9:30 am to 2:30 pm,
Tuesday through Friday.
Admission is
always free. |

Come join us each month in a casual and friendly atmosphere when we celebrate the
opening of a new exhibit with a wine and hors d'oeuvres reception.
A new exhibit is hung each month, starting in October. Some exhibits feature
members, faculty, students or regional artists. Others are juried open exhibits
and the Island Art League encourages participation by all interested area artists.
Exhibit artwork is original and most is available for sale by the artists.
Opening receptions are on Friday, the first evening of the exhibit, from 5:30pm to
7:30pm, unless otherwise noted, and are always open and free to the public.

Here & New: The
2010 Faculty Exhibit
October 8th – November 7th
SUBMISSIONS: October 5 and 6
OPENING RECEPTION: October 9, 5:30-7:30pm
This annual exhibition celebrates our talented
instructors and their wide range of media,
technique, styles and philosophies. Come meet
our faculty and view their current work.

SUBMISSIONS: November 9 and 10
OPENING RECEPTION: November 12, 5-9pm,
An all media juried exhibit open to area artists
featuring our island‘s treasures – be they natural
or manmade. Part of the annual artsHOP event.

Linda Molto: Postscripts
December 3rd – 19th
OPENING RECEPTION: December 3, 5:30-7:30pm
On display are award-winning Cortez artist Linda
Molto’s favorite serigraphs, and her never or
seldom seen photographs.

An all media, members-only exhibit, honoring an
Island Art League founder.

Alexi Lillis: Waves of
Creation
February 11th - 27th
OPENING RECEPTION: February 11, 5:30-7:30pm
Anna Maria Island artist, Alexi Lillis’ focus is
mermaids and naiads that span the globe and
animal kingdom. Also included are pieces
influential in the artist’s development.

Island Art League students of all levels share their
accomplishments and showcase the fine art and
creative energy generated in the Art League’s

Exhibit

Fresh and fun – always imaginative, this exhibit
showcases works by Manatee High School art
students.

The Island Art League is grateful to the many excellent island restaurateurs who show
their support of the arts through the delectable food they prepare for our opening receptions.
