EXHIBITION SCHEDULE 2013

SAINT STEPHEN'S 2nd ANNUAL VISUAL ARTS CONSERVATORY DISTINCTION EXHIBIT
OPENING RECEPTION: FRIDAY - APRIL 12th - 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Exhibit runs through May 8th

The conservatory distinction was initiated last year for students who have demonstrated a significant level of interest and coursework in the visual arts at Saint Stephen's. The students are conservatory candidates as they complete coursework in their senior year and earn the Visual Arts Conservatory Distinction at graduation.

To earn this honor the students must complete five or more visual arts courses with at least one of those courses at the Advanced level or four or more courses with at least one course at the Honors or Advanced Placement level. All courses must be completed during the ninth through twelfth grade years at Saint Stephen's. In addition, students must complete designated workshops for their courses. This year the workshops included: Raku, Sagger Fire, Figure Drawing, and Photo Lighting Techniques.

Students who successfully complete the Visual Arts Conservatory Distinction are recognized at the Alexi Tucker Memorial Art Show, have a special show at the Anna Maria Island Art League Gallery, and are awarded a pin to be worn at the graduation ceremonies.

This year the students who will graduate with this distinction are: Talia Barker - Laura Culp - Amanda Everhardus - Melissa Johnson - Sarah Johnson - Christina Jones - Sarah Orlando - Ally Thomas.

This is a great opportunity to renew your membership, get information about upcoming events, and tour the monthly Gallery Exhibit. Volunteers are always appreciated!
