Fine Arts & Crafts Festivals

Each year, the The Anna Maria Island Art League hosts the “Springfest” and “Winterfest” art festivals. These festivals are a combination of people, education, entertainment and food; where you can find amazing items, hand crafted and offered for sale by talented artists.

“Springfest” brings talented artists and art lovers, from near and far, to our little barrier island. Many who attended proclaimed this year’s festivals “the best ever”. Currently, plans are underway to make next year’s events even more successful.

The Annual Winterfest and Springfest Festivals of Fine Arts and Fine Crafts are both held at City Hall Field in Holmes Beach, on quaint and picturesque Anna Maria Island.

Springfest and Winterfest

One hundred professional artist and crafts persons from across the United States will gather in Holmes Beach on Anna Maria Island April 9th & 10th, 2016 for the 28th Annual Anna Maria Island Springfest, Festival of Fine Arts and Fine Crafts. Sponsored by the Anna Maria Island Art League, this juried show draws top quality art to City Hall Field in Holmes Beach. The hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days. Admission and parking are free.

This family event features continuous live music on stage Saturday and a large food court offering a variety of food and beverages. Also exhibiting will be community organizations that include various, historical, and environmental groups with information about these worthwhile causes.

A highlight of the festival is a gala raffle of art work donated by festival exhibitors. Proceeds benefit the League’s Scholarship Fund, which provides classes to children and adults. The raffle gives everyone a chance to collect great art for a small donation. Tickets are $1 each or six for $5 and winners need not be present to win.

The art festivals; “Winterfest” and “Springfest”, are the major fund raisers for the League, a nonprofit, tax deductible organization dedicated to fostering the Arts on the island. In addition to the classes, funds from the festivals underwrite operation of the art center, exhibits, and a variety of programs for the community. For further information contact the Anna Maria Island Art League.
